soon you'll grow so take a chance with a couple of kooks

Fresh off the back of my boring skate experience (view last post) I ventured off to Cafe Komodo in the hearty suburb of Prospect for my good friend Louis' 21st. I hadn't seen Louis in what felt like forever. All week i'd been excited about the prospect of spinning a yarn with him and cutting a rug. I felt like a kid again.
I should add that these aren't my photos. They're from the family camera and taken from a facebook gallery. I can already see the comments on this post. "You're blowing it Gaga!"

The standard family shot. L-R: Mum, little bro, pops and birthday boy. The theme was animal mask with a suit. I had great plans of wearinga semi casual suit with the beloved peacebone mask from the church, only to leave said mask at home and only realise halfway there. "You're blowing it Gaga!"

Jacob wore a crazy pig mask and intrigued me with tales of how his father used to chase him around the house in it when he was little. In his words it 'scared the shit' out of him.

I think the theme of this photo was 'tongues out' but Joe had to go and spoil it.

Tom and Carlo. Tom's mask was amazing. I've never seen a cask wine box put to such great use!

This photo was meant to be to the theme of 'look like you're too cool to have your photo taken', but once again Joe had to spoil it. Interesting side note: I'm not this short in comparison to these guys.

Samantha and Cnythia. Sam and I went to the same primary school and I paths still cross. Fancy that!

This is the epitome of beauty and the beast if I ever saw it.

I wore Xavier's (little bro) mask for a bit. For a while I felt like I fit in with the theme.

Then the heartfelt speeches.

"Fake tan all over his face". Most of you reading this have no idea what that's referring to.

Then the lovely cake. This is honestly one of the nicest birthday cakes i've ever eaten. I would have taken seconds but I didn't want to look like a pig, that's Jacob's gig.

Bam Margera/ HIM fans seem to be making their move into the lucritive cafe industry.

I'll leave you with this, a photo of the birthday boy in his younger years. Look at that pose and that face. No wonder people always ask why his child model career didn't take off.
